With fine variations in the heartbeat sequence, the autonomic nervous system ensures that a person can optimally adapt to everything he or she does and everything that affects him or her from inside or outside.
This phenomenon is called heart rate variability (HRV). In the case of illness, chronic stress or, in extreme cases, burnout, this (natural) adaptability is lost. At the beginning there is the loss of regenerative capacity, followed by the loss of performance capacity and finally loss of substance and manifest disease. The Lebensfeuer measurement provides information about the status of our autonomic nervous system and thus about our state of health, performance and fitness. It is the objective mirror of our “Inner State”, because the autonomic nervous system does not lie.
“All the rhythms of life are reflected in the rhythm of the heart”.
There is nothing more honest than HRV (heart rate variability). Since no one can pretend for more than 24 hours, the life fire’s statements about a person’s autonomic nervous system are not only impressive but absolutely objective and valid. By measuring the heart rate variability, all physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social states of mind can be meaningfully mapped in the representation of the fire of life.
The life fire image created from over 3 million data resembles a fire: the more intense and dense the colors (blue, red, yellow, etc.) and the higher the “flames” blaze, the more vital, younger or well-trained a person is. If the chart shows only small flames and little color contrast, the image indicates reduced vitality, little parasympathetic activity, exhaustion, or illness. HRV analysis shows in detail the rhythmicity of individual stress and recovery phases.
By combining the graphical representation of life fire with the numerical values from HRV and physiological cardiac performance data, clear answers can be given to many areas of life:
– How old am I really? (current biological age)
– What forces, what reserves do I have within me? (performance potential, training deficiency)
– When is something too much for me? (susceptibility to stress, risk of burnout)
– How resilient am I? (physical and mental resilience)
– How can I deal with stressful situations? (regulatory capacity, stress management)
– How quickly do I recharge my batteries? (regenerative capacity, sleep culture)
– When am I most active? (Morning / Evening Man)
– Where can I promote myself even more? (resources, career potential)
– What kind of diet is best for me? (diet type)
Your personal fire of life
The Lebensfeuer ® is an inner map and guide at the same time – the representation of your lifestyle and health as the result of a 24-hour ECG measurement based on heart rate variability (HRV). This functional performance and regeneration diagnostic is new and unique in its presentation.
By means of a portable, everyday ECG device (smaller than a matchbox), the heart rate variability, this minimally irregular interval between the individual heartbeats, is measured over 24 hours or even shorter and displayed in the meaningful Lebensfeuer graphic – painless, complication-free, non-invasive! You remain in your professional as well as private environment, sleep in your own familiar bed and live your everyday life as normal. Whether this is a firework of vitality or an already advanced burnout syndrome can be objectively documented – because your body does not lie.
Why do we measure for 24 hours? As a highly sensitive test method, heart rate variability (HRV) reflects our different individual ways of responding to stimuli. Accordingly, the result of each measurement is exclusively shaped by the genetic constitution present in each case and decisively by the sum of past and present internal and external influences. Measured over a short period of time, the result of an HRV measurement can therefore be massively changed by the previous night, food, climbing stairs or sport units, thirst, anger, joy, clothing that is too warm, annoying phone calls, etc. Valid statements based on short-term measurements require consideration of the individual constitution, the momentary situation of the measurement and a maximum of standardization (breathing rate, body posture, emotion, external conditions such as room temperature, etc.).
Measurements over a period of 20 hours or more, on the other hand, allow a dynamic insight into the functional everyday physiology of a person. The extent of adaptability to positive and negative stress can be read from lawfully interdependent biological patterns. A factor that should not be underestimated when assessing a person’s performance is sleep. Similar to a “natural laboratory situation”, very constant conditions prevail during sleep. Therefore, sleep serves as an evidential physiological response pattern to the bio-psycho-socio-emotional events of the day.
